09-27-2008: Lunch in Mogollon, The Puple Onion

We are eating lunch in Mogollon at the Purple Onion. We had cheese burgers, lemonade and root beer floats! Yummy!!! Mogollon, is such a neat town, we love it here. We came through when we drove out to Miami and knew we had to make it part of our bike trip. The folks at the Puple Onion are wonderful and they have great stories to tell. Across the street from the Purple Onion a folk band was playing at the town store and next to the store there is a cool little art co-op that features local artits.

Man, it was a huge down hill coming into Mogollon. Super steep and super long. I fell once, landed kind of hard on my knee, but I was fine. This morning heading out of willow creek was a bit of a climb after that it was pretty rolly, we still had to climb some, but it was fairly mellow. At the Silver Creek Divide we hit the gnarly downhill which lasted about 7 miles.
