The Vernal Equinox Is Upon Us

Oops, I missed posting about the vernal equinox, my favorite of the equinonxes. I've posted about it in the past so I won't spend too much time on it.

It was yesterday, March 20 at approximately 11:21pm UTC (Coordinated Universal Time). During the vernal equinox the day and night are each approximately 12 hours long. The Sun crosses the celestial equator going northward; it rises exactly due east and sets exactly due west. Cool!

Happy late vernal equinox everyone!!!!
