10-21-2008: Camp, Morning

Last night during dinner my stomach started turning. I was afraid I was going to be in for one heck of a night. As it turned out, I was fine, thank goodness. However, this morning the belly is back to twisting and turning. I think I'm going to have to take a poop in the very near future (I know, too much information). Last night a group of coyotes were going off, they sounded very close. Also, there was a bull elk bugling not too far away. Ah....the sounds of night.

The Long Haul Trucker got it's first flat yesterday, actually I noticed it yesterday morning so I probably got it the day before. It appeared to be a slow leak, so I rode on it all day yesterday. Dan replaced the tube this morning and found a little metal splinter sticking through the tire...the culprit. I wold have thought that that would have resulted in a fast flat rather than in a slow leak?

Dan just found the finger nail that landed in his coffee--it was at the bottom of the cup...of course, gross. It's starting to get hot this morning. We are off to a late start, we decided it would be a sleep in morning although we didn't really sleep in. The puppies had us out of bed by 7:30 am, but we had been awake for quite some time. Lot s of cars/trucks have been going by on Coconino Rim Road. It's Elk, rifle season now. Death to all that moves...we'll have to be careful and pull out the bright clothing. I should get ready for the day.
