Quote of the Week, Perhaps a Bit Longer

10-21-2008: Evening, Grandview Tower

Today was gorgeous, it felt so nice to be on dirt roads. The kids were able to run and have a blast. The terrain was great, nice and rolly, the roads were good too, a bit rocky in some places but overall made for nice riding. The place where we were going to get water today was called Russel Tank. The water there was pretty nasty, full of algae. Since we had quite a bit of water we decided to only fill up the dog water and not our own water. Hopefully our water will last until the next whiskey bar.

We finally got to do another educational nature trail. The subject was Dwarf Mistletoe and the effects it has on Ponderosa Pines (Pinus ponderosa). It was at the Grandview Tower, a fire lookout. We climbed the tower to take in the view, it was very cool. The view was awesome. However, climbing up and down was a bit nerve racking it was very high and you could feel the tower shift with the winds.
