Quote of the Week, Perhaps a Bit Longer

10-27-2008: Stoneman Lake

Morning on Stoneman Lake, there is still a breeze, but not nearly as strong as last night. It's a warm, beautiful morning, it makes us want to stay here for a rest day, but we are very low on water and since the lake is so low you can only get really muddy water out of it. We don't want to subject our poor pump to that muddy of water. So we are going to head on. We are not too far from Hwy 17 and once there we are only 6 miles from Oak Creek if we still haven't found any water, the map makes it look like we can find water before then, we'll keep our fingers crossed. The pups are enjoying resting in the sunshine. They have been such troopers, such good poopers.

I'm getting excited to see Reno, mom and Oz, our friends, and our favorite restaurants. We'll be there before we know it. I can't wait to see the dogs reactions to seeing mom, Oz and the Condo. I bet they'll love being in the Condo for a good while. Grandma is going to give them soooo many treats, they'll be in puppy heaven.

It's funny though as excited as I am to see Reno, I really do not want to get back to civilization and societies expectations. Living on the road and on our own terms has been so liberating and freeing. It makes you realize that there is no one set way of living that is better than any other, people should just live on their own terms and get out of the trap of societal expectations.
