Blooming Snowy

A while back I wrote a post about the snowy Thistle (Cirsium occidentale). When I took pictures before, none of the plants were blooming. I have since been back on the trail and found a bunch of snowy thistles in bloom. Here are some pictures so you can enjoy their colorful offering.

The scarlet bloom, brilliant against the dense, snowy white hairs

The whole plant, blooms and all!
