Hoo-h'HOO--hoo-hoo

Our new friend, the Great Horned Owl (Bubo virginianus), woke me up at 3:30 this morning with its haunting calls. So pretty, and quite frankly, I don't mind it waking me up in the early hours. The calls are so mellow and low, they don't prevent me from falling back to sleep. Hoot on my friend, hoot on.
